i have had my refrigerator since dec 2024. the icemaker drops ice on my floor after we have walked away and/or left the house. so, the ice melts on my hardwood floor, and seeps between the cracks. i have had a repairman out and he replaced the device in the door, but it does the exact same thing. i hate this fridge.

LOUD Continuous Buzzing

LOUD!!! Brand new fridge runs almost nonstop and buzzes like a failing fluorescent light. Drives us crazy!! Whirlpool says it™€™s normal but can™€™t give us a decibels spec or tell us how much the fan should run. It™€™s running every morning after being closed all night and shuts off maybe 1 hour a day if you add up all the little few minute stoppages it goes through.

We've had this for about a month. I spend a good bit of time after delivery to adjust the doors and the handles to hang and look straight. The unit holds temperature very well and everything works - so far. However, it seems to run quite often, and it is NOISY.

Was worried about noise, pleasantly surprised

I researched refrigerators extensively before purchasing. I almost didn™€™t buy this one because several people complained about it being too noisy. My previous refrigerator must have been extremely noisy, because this one is more quiet. The ice maker does not generate a ton of ice, but it has been more than sufficient for my family of 5 (with kids that love crushed ice). The only real knock I have is the water dispenser is too far forward, if you don™€™t wait a second after dispensing it will dribble down the front. It is not a big deal as we have already gotten acclimated to it. I™€™m very pleased with the value of this purchase.

overall, it's OK. However, a huge negative is the fridge shelves are not adjustable -- something all my other fridges had. If I had realized that, I wouldn't have purchased this particular fridge. Also, the fridge door swings all the way open on its own. The only way to avoid that is to not have anything on the door shelves, which defeats the purpose. I would only recommend this fridge for a 2nd fridge in the basement or the garage -- NOT for a daily fridge in the kitchen, which is where I have it.

I ought this product in July and on day one the ice maker jams every time I use it. Service came out and after looking at it, told me they had to order a whole new door for the ice maker side, and it could be 3 weeks to 9 months for. Replacement.So I have to clear jams daily as it is summer and we use a lot of ice, no offer for a loaner fridge or any otherhrlp. I have not heard a word from Hudson™€™s since service man was here.

Easy to Install and Fills Family Needs for Storage

Bought this unit approx 3 weeks ago for a great price. Able to install it myself with a 4 wheel dolly but would recommend 2 people to safely unload and install. Easy to understand startup instructions. Ice maker a breeze to hookup and love the crushed ice feature. LED lights inside and on outside freezer door give it a tasteful look. The LCD Display also on outside Freezer Door allows you to adjust Freezer and Refrig Temps, On/Off Door Light Feature and Ice Dispenser Cube or Crushed Ice Setting. Compared to the Amanda Double Door Frig and Bottom Freezer unit we replaced, the Whirlpool is a lot quieter running through all freezer, frig and icemaker cycles. So far we are extremely pleased with our Whirlpool™€™s performance.

Awful noises and struggles to cool.

I just wanted a white EnergyStar rated refrigerator with an icemaker. This was literally the first thing I could get delivered last fall. Has always made lots of noises, some worse than others--I have attached a video of the most egregious one. Also struggles to cool, which is sort of a refrigerator's main job?...As you can see in the video, the thermometer shows 40 degrees in the bottom (which should be the coolest part, no, as cold air sinks?), despite having it on the coldest setting. (Video sounds better on my phone than the PC--not sure why most of the sound isn't coming through on PC.) I could handle the non-adjustable shelves--doors are adjustable, so that should give everyone enough flexibility, but the various noises and the fact that it won't stay very cold doesn't inspire confidence.

I got this about a month ago and I love it. It has the water and ice dispenser. My grandson comes over and is always wanting to get some ice and since he is 2 he always makes a mess, however this refrigerator has a lock on it so I just lock it when he comes over. I love it.

Would be nice to be able to relocate shelves

With an energy program I qualified for because I am below poverty level I was presented with my new Whirlpool refrigerator and am very satisfied with the product EXCEPT I would really appreciate being able to move the shelves. At my age and the fact that I have had both hips replaced since November of 2018 it would be less strenuous on me if I could have my gallon jugs of milk or juices on a lower level. It would help me and it would allow my grandchildren to access these items without my help. It would help them in their adventure to more independent visits with me.
