Fridge sill moves forward when opening the door

The manual I received for this unit defines a leveling foot. The warranty support personal claims and showed me an exploded diagram which did not have a leveling foot in his manual. However I am still experiencing the problem of the fridge moving forward when opening the doors.

Love this fridge... it seems so much bigger!

Love that the glass shelves don't have the border edging. I've had the same size fridge before, but this new one seems so much bigger! Everything seems so much easier to access. I have been satisfied with both the freezer and fridge side holding an even cold temperature. Better lighting too. I love the Bisque color, and the handles are very comfortable, which seems like a small thing, but I notice it every time I open the doors. Speaking of doors, the only complaint I have is that they seem to be off balance when I open them and swing open too fast. I have to hold on to the door so the hinges don't get continually stressed. Also, I did buy additional shelves, and I miss that it does not have a slide out cheese drawer.

POOR BUILD QUALITY

I had to wait about two months for this side by side due to needing a specific color. The delivery was excellent but the build quality of this refrigerator is far below Whirlpool Standards of my other Whirlpool appliances. The side by side doors are approximately 1/2" misaligned vertically and two shelves were not included with the refrigerator from the factory. One shelf on the refrigerator side and one shelf from the freezer side.

Cheaper quality!

In less than a week we had to have a repairman to fix ice machine and change the censer on the refrigerator temperature. It came missing a shelf. I ordered the shelf and they sent the wrong one. Waiting for the shelf. Refrigerator side has 1 less drawer than my other and not a fan of the ™€œsnowflake ™€œ temperature controller. I had to order from computer so these things were not addressed.

We've only had the refrigerator for a week. Bought it because it was the only refrigerator we could find in bisque color. All of our other kitchen appliances are this color. We didn't want black, white or stainless. It is a very basic unit. We've purchased an extra door shelf and main shelf. Wish it had a middle drawer for sheese and sandwich meat.

It's all about the Color... Almond or Bisque

Unfortunately, it's a bit too small for our needs but there are no other choices out there. Our previous Whirlpool Refrigerator (23 years ago) had more room.

Our 20 year old refrigerator was on it's last legs, barely able to maintain safe temperatures. We bought this refrigerator when we did because the top freezer model we really wanted was not available for four months in the bisque color my wife wanted to match our other appliances. We are both sorry we didn't wait. Although touted as over three cubic feet larger, it's actually smaller when it comes to storing large or tall containers (milk gallons and two liter soda bottles). The top freezer model has wider shelves, making it easier to make room for large baking dishes. As for the freezer, there are only three, foot wide shelves. The ice maker / handler takes up about 20% and another 20% is taken up by a bottom bin where items are just jumbled with any organization being impossible. The afore mentioned ice handler and door water feature take up half of potential door storage. That aside, it is a handsome unit. That is, if you don't look at the bottom 4 inches. I can hardly imagine a competent design engineer being unable to design a door hinge cover that at least hides the inner workings. Such an unfinished look, IMHO. All in all, had we considered, we would have waited for the top freezer model.

This is an average quality refrigerator. It's what I expected for the price. The designer of the ice dispenser probable never used one. The water dispenser is too close to the front of the door, so any mistakes go on the floor and not in the tray. The unit is as loud as my old 30 year old model, so that was a disappointment.

For a $2,000.00 unit, the freezer motor is much noisier than I would expect from a name brand like Whirlpool. I am very disappointed in this, and feel the product is substandard for what I paid. Also, the lighting in the fridge is poorly placed and doesn't fully illuminate the box. I bought a battery-powered light to address this.

I like everything about the refrigerator, except one thing. The bottom next to the floor looks unfinished. Where you adjusted the feet to level it and across the front from one side to the other seems exposed to ugly metal brackets and cords. There needs to be a decorative piece that will snap in place to cover all this, once the leveling has been done.

First it took a long time to receive this refrigerator after ordering it. It did not fit into the space and I had to hire a handyman to make it fit. It runs almost continuously. Otherwise, OK. It replaced a 31 year old Jenn Air which was still running. I kept the old one just in case.

The drawers are hard to open and close when there is anything in them even if it isn't heavy. I tried soaping the sides. Did not help much. I like the size of the drawers. I wish there was a top drawer for cheese etc.

I struggle to give it a good rating as there are things we don™€™t like about it. It™€™s noisy and goes through several different noises through every day. Even guests have mentioned the noises. There is no deli drawer. It has supports for four shelves but came with only three so we had to purchase an additional shelf. The ice and water through the door feature is ridiculous! In attempting to get ice we get water all over, mostly on the back of our hands and the floor. It now takes more steps to get a glass of ice; a small glass to get ice, pour it in to our drinking glass and then put that up to the water dispenser.

Our other refrigerator was operating at 45-50 degrees. This one matches my stove and dishwasher in almond color. We're getting used to the side by side as we've never had this style before. There's plenty of room in both sides and I really like that.

I am going to have to spend additional money to find ways to insulate against the sound. Why can't Whirlpool make something quieter???

Nice but some design oversights!

I was very happy with my previous similar model Whirlpool fridge. I like the new right side layout even a bit better but there are several things I don™€™t like as much with this newer version. There are only 2 bottom drawers instead of three which means if you use one for fruits and one for veggies, you have to store things like deli/dairy items loosely on a main shelf and the drawers are considerably smaller. The small door racks on the freezer door side used to fold out. These are stationary and very small so not very useful. But the biggest change which I feel is very inconvenient is that in the old model, the ice maker container was actually on the top of the inner freezer door and released with a simple button. You also could turn the ice maker off with another simple easily reached button. This new container is on the top of the freezer and must be removed, ( not as easy) to access the turnoff button which is very inconvenient. Also because of the ice container being higher, you can no longer see exactly how much ice is in there and it is also more difficult for a shorter person to just grab ice out of the container instead of using the dispenser. Unfortunately, newer changes don™€™t always mean better.

This refrigerator, which I ordered and waited months for, had a catastrophic failure and had to be replaced in March, 2022. If you must buy a refrigerator buy a extended warranty.

Better Than Expected

After waiting 6 months on getting a Whirlpool Bisque refrigerator we finally found one at Reese Appliance. Very pleased with color. Refrigerator is very spacious inside has adjustable shelves. Ice maker and water dispenser are a plus. Water taste good which will save us money on buying bottled water. Highly recommend Whirlpool products.

4 repairs in 6 months, Bad parts

Purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator 6 months ago. After the 4th repair. With dial set to lowest settings. Freezer 35 F, Refrigerator 50 F. Next Whirlpool repairman availability: Beyond 4 weeks. Call wait time for assistance/schedule warranty repair: 2 hours. Every part that can be replaced, excluding the outer shell. Has been replaced. Should be like new. Whirlpool products are bad from the Assembly line. Repair parts are dysfunctional. Warranty doesn't cover replacement of $200 ruined food due to the freezer not working. Nor replace the whole refrigerator. Good thing I purchased an extended warranty through Home Depot.

Wonder appliance

Tried to order a Whirlpool refrigerator at first but could only get a GE. Just by chance I called Androtek Appliances in Tampa and he had a Whirlpool in his store. So I ended up with a wonderful refrigerator and a terrific appliance company to install it. Thanks Whirlpool and Androtek!

Can't get it!

I ordered this refrigerator almost a year ago. All I am getting is one postponed date after the other. The Appliance Center in Panama City, Fl. Is no help at all. They shipped my range, dishwasher and microwave withing 90 days after the order. Whirlpool rep is no help either. Just keeps telling dealer that he can do nothing.
