This washer is great, I remember when I was young my family purchased speed queen washer and dryer. we were a family of 12, dad, mom, and 10 kids. I can't remember them ever breaking down. This washer has a lot to live up to and so far I see it lasting a good long time. It is very easy to use. I also like how many selections you have for the loads. I would definitely suggest it to family and friends.

Clean but extra wet clothes

It cleans wash very well however, the spin cycle does not ring enough water out of the clothes leaving the user with several runs through the dryer which is hard on fabrics. I asked the company where I purchased if there was an adjustment to the spin cycle & they were clueless.

Overall I like the machine, except I had an issue with water flow right from installation. Now waiting for replacement parts, see if it will fix the issue. Also, don't like that you can have the lid closed when you adding cloths and want to see what is going on. I miss this feature on my old machine

I had to replace my much loved and cherished 36 year old Direct Drive top load washer. I knew that nothing on the market besides Speed Queen would work the same, be built to last and offer years of trouble free washing. I was afraid the TR7 would not clean as well at TC5, but it does! It is gentle, whisper quiet and even using Auto Fill....everything is saturated and the results are awesome. Speed Queen is the perfect combo of old school meets modern features. I love that if I want or need, I can add a deep fill...but I am so far happy with Auto Fill. Spin speed is fast, but quiet, and everything in turn is drying faster now. 7 year warranty too. Incredible.

The first washing machine that was delivered had errors right out of the box, that is why I only gave 4 stars. The second machine they brought and installed is great, I would recommend over all other brands. The tub is smaller than other brands but it hasn't been a problem. The machine is the quietest machine I have ever owned.

It Is Just What I Wanted!

I was very unhappy with the Maytag washer I purchased three years ago. It was not meant for my smaller loads and ALWAYS left suds behind. My daughter needed to replace her washer so I passed the Maytag along to her. My other daughter put me on to Speed Queen. I like that I can select the specifics of each load ....water level, soil level, temperature, delayed start etc. It does a great job on my smaller loads in a short amount of time with no suds left behind. The small independent appliance store I bought it from was an added bonus with no delivery, set up or hauling away charges and they do their own repairs.

Finally! An efficient and excellent washer/dryer!

We needed all new appliances after a remodel. When shopping for a washer/dryer, the Salesman immediately brought me to what he thought I'd like because everyone else prefers the big, shiny front-loading machines, with the most advertised brand names. However, I don't care about all that newfangled stuff. I want quality: a washing machine with a center agitator that thoroughly washes and rinses my clothes, and a dryer that requires only one cycle to dry my clothes. Once my salesman realized I couldn't be swayed to buy the most advertised machines, he showed me the washer/dryer that he owns: Speed Queen. Thank goodness he did, we are SO HAPPY with our washer and dryer. An Appliance Tech was sent to our house because our brand-new microwave needed attention. He came in through our laundry room and immediately said, "Hey, I have that same washer and dryer." If the people who know about sales and repair actually own Speed Queen, then I'm confident that we'll be happy with our purchase even after years have passed. Thank you, Speed Queen!

I hate this machine. It was horrible purchase and I deeply regret it. The "perfect wash" is a perfect joke. It waves the clothes around in the water instead of actually agitating them. You have to add exta everything to get the clothes clean, extra time, extra rinse, heavy duty, soak and most of the time even an extra wash.

We love that you push the start button and the water starts filling immediately. Its great to have an agitator. Love that it spins all of the water out of the clothes, making the dryer time quicker. Best ever. My first set of Speed Queen I purchased in 2009. A few months later our home flooded during a 100 year flood. Washer and dryer under 5ft of water. My husband managed to get them outside, take covers off and let them dry. Plugged them back in and worked. Sold the house in 2017 to our niece and she just told us that the dryer has finally stopped drying. Washer still going. Unbelievable! Bought a house in 2023 in Florida. Decided to try front loaders GE. Big mistake. Nothing but trouble. Just bought my next set of Speed Queen. Love them. Should have never wasted money on GE. Lesson learned.

TR7 Washer Happiness - Silent and Powerful!

After 6 years my old washer laid down suddenly, and the repair service was unable to fix the problem. Selecting a new washer is a big decision that I never want to face again. I watched hours of service technician reviews, and they were unanimous in their recommendations, Speed Queen. Fortunately, we have a Speed Queen dealer in our small mountain town. My TR7 is incredibly silent, and it's powerful agitator cleans the heaviest soiled clothes. I love that my TR7 allows me to either select my preference of water depth in the tub, or I can choose "auto fill" for the washer to decide how much water is necessary to clean. The TR7 has a greater selection of soil levels, water temperature, and cycles than my old washer. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I look forward to my Speed Queen lasting much longer than my 6 year old washer.

Replacement for OG Whirlpool!

I swore I would never replace our 1989 Whirlpool washer. Yet here we are. It has definitely been an adjustment learning how to get OG results from the new generation of washers. With a little online searching I've learned some workarounds. Including changing to powdered detergent and some longer cycles. I love the flexibility of this machine, letting me choose what I need for different clothes or towels or bedding. Hoping this SpeedQueen lasts because so far I love it.

Some Repairs Needed

Received the replacement machine for my original 4 year old one that could not be repaired. Within a month the new machine needed to have the lid lock switch replaced. The repair teck did not know that had changed the part and replaced it with the older style. This necessitated a second repair visit to put the upgraded switch (once it was ordered and came in) in the machine. Since then everything seems to be working as it should.

I purchased this and the matching dryer in 2020. I have been extremely unimpressed with both units. First off, I detest the electronic keypads. The washer works okay...not great. Rusted out parts were just replaced under warranty at the 6 year mark. The dryer still doesn't work despite NUMEROUS attempts over the years from qualified repairmen. I'm sure you were looking for glowing reviews. I just can't offer you that.
